Moreton Bay Marine Park

Brisbane’s aquatic playground

Leave all your worries behind as you escape to the stunning waters of Moreton Bay Marine Park. Sprinkled with islands, this marine park offers you perfect day-trips and extended stays within an hour of the Brisbane city hub. Look for dugongs, dolphins, whales and turtles as you kayak or sail through the bay’s calm clear waters. Explore the colourful underwater world while snorkelling or diving around shipwrecks or Flinders Reef, off Moreton Island. Catch your dinner fishing on one of the purpose-built artificial reefs. If you are a history buff, visit the historical 19th century defences of Fort Lytton, or discover some of Brisbane’s turbulent past on a guided tour of St Helena Island.
